These are a few images from the Palestinian Museum Digital Archive that belong to the Badawi Tammam Collection. The description of their archives reads:
“A personal archive of Badawi Tammam, a journalist and spiritual healer, containing photographs and documents that intersect with the Palestinians in Syria, the cultural movement and journalism and its pioneers, spiritual and psychological treatment in Palestine, and Arab nationalism, as well as letters from the ambassadors of the Arab League.”
Today, February 18th the death toll in Gaza is over 28,000.
Israel is now bombing Rafah, the southern most part of Gaza, where over 1 million displaced Palestinians are sheltering in tents without any clean water, or food or healthcare. In Northern Gaza they are starving. They have been surviving off bread made from a hybrid of different types of animal feed not suitable for humans.

If you are my patient I probably have recently recommended A Year in Practice by Jacqueline Suskin to you. I love this book! I especially enjoyed listening to the audio book. It is not a book about Chinese Medicine directly but follows living in accordance to the seasons. I am always telling my patients its important to listen to the season we are in. In winter we are truly not supposed to do a lot, this helps so that when spring time comes we are ready to “leap” into the energy of springtime, without feeling so exhausted and burnt out. I think everyone should read this book! Go buy this book!
Two books I loved that I read the last two weeks were: Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar and Stay True by Hua Hsu.
Music to Work To by Corntuth has been on repeat this past week.
